WHO holds training & protocol development meeting for the Odon device randomized trial

The World Health Organization held a two day training to equip trainees with technical skills for the application of the Odon device. This was done in preparation for the roll-out of a multicountry, multisite study to evaluate the feasibility and safety of the Odon device for assisted vaginal delivery. In Kenya the study will be done at KNH.

Among the trainers was Professor Zahida Qureshi, one of the local PIs. Dr. George Gwako, another local PI and Mark Sigei, the Data Manager in the study were trained.

The two dons also participated in the review of the proposal for the “Odon Device randomized clinical trial”, a proposed multicountry, multisite to be conducted in Kenya among other countries.
