The 16thย Nilo-Saharan Linguistics Colloquium (NISA) will be hosted jointly by the University of Nairobi and the University of Cologne from August 29, 2023 to September 1, 2023 on the 4thย floor of the University of Nairobi Towers. The theme of this colloquium is โLinguistic, Sociocultural and Indigenous Perspectivesโ. The university is honoured and privileged to be accorded the opportunity to host the 16thย Nilo-Saharan Colloquium, after hosting another one in 2015. The University is hosting it again in less than 10 years. The colloquium brings together linguists and other language practitioners working on different Nilo-Saharan languages. Some of these languages are Dholuo, Maa, Tugen, Ogiek, Toposa, among many others.
