48th KOGS Annual Scientific Congress begins

The 48th KOGS Annual Scientific Congress commenced with a welcoming speech from KOGS President - Dr. Kireki Omanwa, and looking on was Dr. Owende, KESES Chairperson, today, 12th February 2024 at Sarova Whitesands Hotel, Mombasa County. KOGS President was engaging with participants as Dr. Nassir raised valid points/concerns on the continuity of skills training to facilitate advancement in the performance of surgical procedures.

Dr. Rose Jepchumba Kosgei awarded Ph.D. in Health Sciences

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology congratulates Dr. Rose Jepchumba Kosgei for her Ph.D. in Health Sciences from Ghent University, Belgium, on December 4th, 2023.

Dr. Rose Jepchumba Kosgei, MBChB, MMed (OB/Gyn), Fell. Gyn Oncology, MSc (Clinical Trials), Ph.D., and a Board member of the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).

First African on World Endometriosis Society Board

Dr. Ezekiel Onyonka Mecha, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Nairobi's Department of Biochemistry, has achieved a significant milestone by being appointed to the board of the World Endometriosis Society. As the sole African representative and the first individual from the continent to hold this position, Dr. Mecha's two-year term on the Global Liaison Committee (2023-2025) is a testament to his expertise and commitment to advancing endometriosis awareness and research.
