Dear Students and Staff,

In acknowledgment of the pressing issues surrounding abortion and its impact on students' lives, the University of Nairobi’s Theatre of the Absurd is proud to present an impactful Edutainment titled: "Botched" that will be staged on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of December at Taifa Hall.

Why "Botched"?

Abortion is a critical issue affecting students on campus. Shockingly, an estimated 2,600 women lose their lives annually in Kenya due to unsafe abortions, with an additional 21,000 women facing hospitalization due to complications. "Botched" aims to shed light on these crucial matters through the powerful medium of theatre. The play is in a Campus setting fashioned to highlight the overlooked themes that have a high impact on the lives of students over time: Sexual Reproductive Health Rights, Mental Health, Drugs, and Substance Abuse.
