Metropolis Laboratory visit

The University of Nairobi PEARLS Study team conducted a strategic visit to Metropolis Laboratory to assess laboratory readiness for the upcoming MATRIX phase.

The visit provided valuable insights into the laboratory’s diagnostic capacity, quality systems, specimen management processes, and biobanking infrastructure.

Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration to support advanced maternal health research, positioning the PEARLS MATRIX phase to enhance early detection and prevention of pre-eclampsia and ultimately contribute to improved maternal and newborn health outcomes.

The team was led by the study leadership:Prof Alfred Osoti, Dr.Rosa Chemwey, Ms. Jenipher Okore and Ms. Wendy Kagwima.
