Dear All,

The Director, Library & Information Services has organized an online training on INFORMATION RESOURCES SEARCHING SKILLS scheduled on Wednesday, 13th September 2023.

Searching skills assist researchers to use search terms in finding required information and information resources from search engines, library catalogue and the online databases. The skill helps the researcher obtain more relevant and specific information results for their research, hence saving time. Some of the search strategies that will be presented include Boolean Logic, parenthesis, truncation, wildcards and phrase searching among others. The main objective of the training will be to guide students and researchers on how to use information search strategies to achieve good search results for literature research.
