Public lecture on validation of the Serum N-Glycome based biomarker for ovarian cancer
The Head of Department - Prof. E.J. Cheserem, a Consultant Gynecologist/ Obstetrician and Gynae Oncologist, attended a Public lecture on the Validation of the serum N-glycome-based biomarker for ovarian cancer via a multi-centre study in Kenya and Germany by Prof. Veronique Blanchard held on 3rd August 2023 at the Faculty of Health Sciences, UoN, KNH campus - Lecture Theatre 3 from 11:00 a.m.
The lecture was honoured by Associate Dean - Postgraduate Prof. Wagaiyu, Acting Chairman Dept. Human Pathology - Dr. Okemwa, and Unit heads of Hematology and Clinical Chemistry.
The study was done by Dr. Francis Wanyama, for his PhD studies with Prof. Blanchard as his supervisor. She cited the very educative outcomes of the study towards further research.
In addition, the DAAD Nairobi office representative, at the end of the presentation, shared the opportunities and information on Masters /Doctoral programs and research opportunities in Germany.
The lecture had about 40 physical attendees and 100 virtual attendees from all over the world.
