FOETAL MATERNAL MEDICINE:
Counsel a woman pre-pregnancy, Provide advice regarding weight optimisation, diet, smoking & drug use, exercise and lifestyle, provide pre-pregnancy screening and immunisation. Assess on the first antenatal visit including risk category, provide counselling and education. Provide subsequent routine antenatal and intrapartum care.
Provide routine care of a healthy neonate and mother, Aberrations of growth, prematurity, neonatal jaundice, respiratory distress, cardiac arrest, sepsis, birth asphyxia, birth trauma, common congenital anomalies, fetal alcohol syndrome, neonatal abstinence syndrome, the neonate of a diabetic mother, hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy, necrotising enterocolitis, seizures.
