Dr. Kihara Anne Beatrice was inaugurated as the FIGO President yesterday, 12th October 2023 in Paris, France, during the XXIV FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics closing ceremony.

The FIGO World Congress is the largest global event in gynecology and obstetrics. More than 8,000 delegates have gathered at the state-of-the-art Paris Convention Centre to learn, share, build alliances, and shape the future of women’s and reproductive health. There are over 60 countries represented, over 500 expert speakers, and over 200 sessions.

The Gynaecological Oncology fellowship and course coordinator, Dr. Kosgei Rose, welcomed the new fellowship students to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology on 25th September 2023. They were also welcomed by their senior fellowship student, Dr. Kilonzo Margaret.

Cheserem, a Consultant Gynecologist/ Obstetrician and Gynae Oncologist, attended a Public lecture on the Validation of the serum N-glycome-based biomarker for ovarian cancer via a multi-centre study in Kenya and Germany by Prof. Veronique Blanchard held on 3rd August 2023 at the Faculty of Health Sciences, UoN, KNH campus - Lecture Theatre 3 from 11:00 a.m.
