IDS Seminar on Rethinking Education Funding and Working Paper Series

The Institute for Development Studies (IDS), University of Nairobi invites you to an IDS Research Seminar where a paper from the AERC-BMGF Collaborative Research on Human Capital Development in Africa research project shall be presented. This paper is titled The impact of Free Primary Education policy on human capital development in Kenya: wins and losses authored by Samuel Ngigi, Paul Kamau, John Njoka, Martine Oleche and Moses Muriithi and discussed by Reuben Mutegi. 

 

Wellness forum August edition: Health systems management

The guest speaker for this month's wellness forum was Dr. Githinji Gitahi - Group Chief Executive Officer, AMREF Health Africa.

He is a passionate advocate for pro-poor Universal Health Coverage and joined Amref Health Africa as the Global Chief Executive Officer in June 2015. In December 2018, Dr. Gitahi was bestowed the 2018 ‘Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear’ (MBS) by the President of Kenya in recognition of his outstanding contribution and commitment to the health sector.
